Coco Beach Resort is on the island of Ambergris Caye in Belize. It's a resort that is just 3.5 miles outside of the town of San Pedro, Belize. The reasoning behind booking this location was to have a romantic getaway. The resort is perfect for that because it has more of an intimate feel because it is smaller in size. The beautiful island of Ambergris Caye gives off such a relaxing vibe, and I felt like this resort was a reflection of that.
The property is beautiful at the Coco Beach Resort. It's reflective of the 4-star rating that it has. There are 58 rooms and suites available, and the property sits directly on a small piece of oceanfront. The grounds have sidewalks of sand, a few palm trees, and plenty of iguanas lingering around (you get used to them LOL). On the property, there are three pools, two of them are saltwater pools, and one of them hosts a swim-up pool bar that is heated and only for adults.
The Coco Beach resort also has three different places to dine on the property. The Coco Cafe offers breakfast, snacks, pastries, coffee, and other beverages. Cococabana Bar is outside in the center of the resort by the swim-up pool. It serves a variety of finger foods, cocktails, and they also have a kid's menu. Lastly, there is a fine dining restaurant that is open between 5 p.m to 9 p.m called Cocoblanca. It serves a variety of items on the menu, and they even offer daily room service between 11 a.m to 9 p.m.
During our stay, we relaxed away in our Honeymoon Luxury Casita (we weren't on any Honeymoon). We couldn't pass up the deal that we came across when booking. The stand-alone casita has an open floor plan with plenty of space and privacy. It includes a living room, kitchen, king-size bed, and bathroom with a large shower. Outside of the casita, we also had a porch with stairs leading to a rooftop that was perfect for sunbathing. During our stay, there was daily housekeeping, free WiFi, and Cable TV.
As I mentioned, we ended up booking our casita for a good deal. We came across a deal for Cyber Monday for Coco Beach Resort on Travelocity, where the room rates were $225 per night. We saved over $1,000 with the 50% deal that was running at the time.
I have to say that the check-in process was easy. As soon as we docked on the property via our water taxi, the staff was there to make sure we had everything that we needed. The resort even helped with booking our excursions and anything else we would need during our stay.
This was such a nice change of pace for me to stay at a resort that was so peaceful. But that's just the overall vibe of Ambergris Caye. One other thing that was vital to us enjoying our trip. Is making sure we had a mode of transportation to get around the island, which many locals do so by golf cart. We were able to rent a golf cart directly from the resort. It's the easiest way to get around the island and the primary mode of transportation.
I would recommend this resort. It made me feel right at home during my stay that I almost didn't want to leave. The grounds are kept spotless, the staff was always helpful, and it was the exact vibe that we were looking for while on vacation.
